Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates lost 5-4 in the 10th inning last night to the San Francisco Giants.
The final game of the Bucs-Giants series is scheduled for this afternoon. The Pirates pregame show starts at 12:10, and the first pitch is scheduled for 12:35. Listen for Pirates baseball on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve got back into the win column last night with a 7-3 victory over Harrisburg. Altoona will face the Senators again this evening in Harrisburg with the first pitch set for 6:30.
College Football:
Tonight, Western PA’s college football season begins. Clarion is hosting West Virginia Wesleyan, and IUP plays at Ashland this evening. On Saturday, the Penn State Nittany Lions, ranked 18th in the AP Top 25, will host Marshall with a 3:30pm kickoff time. The Pitt Panthers host Miami of Ohio. That Saturday game has a 12:30pm kickoff time.
