Genevieve M. “Gen” Zambanini, Age 98, of Weedville, PA died Friday, August 28, 2026 at the home of her daughter Rosemary and her son-in-law Roger Mehall where she made her home for the last 8 years.
Born on May 14, 1928 in Force, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Virginia (Benevich) Gralak, Sr. On June 19, 1948, she married her husband of 69 years, Arthur “Art” M. Zambanini. He preceded her in death on, February 14, 2018.
Gen retired from Keystone Carbon in St. Marys after many years of service. Later in retirement, she worked during the planting season at the Valley Rainbow Greenhouse in Weedville, a job she really enjoyed.
Gen was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Force and prayed the rosary daily.
Gen is survived by her daughter; Rosemary “Pooney” Mehall and son-in-law Roger of Weedville, PA, grandson; Michael Mehall and his wife Megan of Woodland, PA, granddaughter; Kelly Mehall (Mike DeFrain) of St. Marys, great granddaughter; Melrose Mehall, and three sisters; Dorothy Chiodo and Yvonne Gralak of, both of Weedville, PA and Rita Anzinger of St. Marys, PA. In addition to her husband and parents, Gen was preceded in death by and infant daughter; Yvonne, an infant son; Arthur, three brothers; Edward and Joseph Gralak and Stanley Gralak, Jr., and three sisters; Betty Resch, Irene Rinehuls, and Virginia Myers.
Visitation will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Mastrian as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Jospeh Cemetery. Memorial donations may he made with St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 17764 Bennetts Valley Highway, Force, PA 15841 and/or Penn Highlands Hospice, 757 Johnsonburg-St. Marys Road #200, St. Marys, PA 15857.
