BROCKWAY – A Brockway man has been jailed after allegedly causing a police standoff during a domestic dispute.
On August 23rd at 10:22pm State Police responded to a Route 28 residence in Snyder Township for a reported Domestic Dispute.
Police then met a woman nearby who told troopers that 40 year-old David Coakley had a firearm and she had heard shots after leaving. The woman also said that she feared for the safety of the other occupants of the home.
Police say that Coakley refused to leave the home, hiding behind a second woman. He then attempted to resist officers as they placed him into custody, he also allegedly threatened to kill officers while he was being detained.
He is now at the Jefferson County Jail where he faces simple assault, harassment, and resisting arrest charges.
