Michael A. Werner, age 75 of Troutville, PA died Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA.
Born on September 25, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Clemens and Eleanor (Cerveny) Werner. On May 14, 1971 he married his wife of 55 years, Arlene (Walls) Werner. She survives.
Mike was the owner/operator of Werner’s Auto Body Shop in Troutville for many years. Prior to that, he was the manager of the body shop at Murray’s Ford. Mike dedicated his life to his family and his body shop. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help with their vehicles. He loved to go on “scoots”. Mike would ride around the ridge looking for wildlife with his brothers. It was his relaxation.
Along with his wife, Mike is survived by his children; Michele Murray and her husband William of DuBois, PA, Robin Sweka and her husband John of Howard, PA, and Dawn Werner and her fiancé David of Burnham, PA, five grandchildren; Dakota and Dylan Brown, Gracie and Jonathan Sweka and Skyler Garzoni, three brothers; Jim, Bill and Ed, and five sisters; Margaret, Mary Jane, Diane, Judy and Nancy. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Clem and Frank, and one grandson, Michael Sweka.
There will be no public visitation, and a private service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
