CLEARFIELD – A 51-year-old Clearfield woman was killed in a UTV crash Friday, and charges have been filed against the driver.
State Police say the UTV traveled off of Keiser Road in Penn Township and hit a tree. Jacqueline Smith was reportedly thrown from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.
Troopers allege that the driver, 45-year-old Levi Smith of Sidman, was operating the UTV while under the influence. Smith has been charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI. He was not hurt in the crash.
