Angelina “Angie” Lucia Fioravanti Russell, age 78 of DuBois, PA passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026 surrounded by those who loved her.
Angie was born January 15, 1948 in DuBois to the late Anao “Naylor” and Mary (Bergotti) Fioravanti.
She graduated from DuBois Central Catholic High School and DuBois Business College. She worked at WCED/WOWQ, writing commercials and was George Williams' secretary. She also worked at St. Catherine’s School, DuBois Public Schools. She finished her career at Penn State DuBois, as a Financial Assistant.
She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Post 17 American Legion Auxiliary, James V. Patterson VFW Auxiliary, Pulaski, Sandy Club and YMCA.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Nicholas Fioravanti (wife Antoinette survives) and Richard “Uncle Dick” Fioravanti.
She is survived by her children Louis Russell, Jr. and wife Stacey of Erie, and Nicole Sawyers and husband Cory of DuBois. Seven grandchildren Taylor, Teddy and wife Caitlyn, and Olivia Russell, Mia, Alex and Ryan Kovalyak & Santino Sawyer. She welcomed her first great grandson, Nico Russell in 2025. Nico always made her smile. Her two nieces Corrine Jackson and husband Randy and Denise Tomco and husband Tim, whom she loved very much. Also, her special friend, Jim Staikides who never missed watching the Pirates with her.
Angie loved spending time with her family, especially working at the Penn State football games with them. She never missed a graduation or holiday. She traveled all over the country to be with her grandchildren, enjoying every moment of it. She will be missed by all her friends at the YMCA; mornings will not be the same. She also loved her friends at American Legion and VFW. We will miss her stories about what was happening there (the gossip)!
Mom/Mugs, we love you and we all will miss you. You were incredibly tough mentally and physically. You sacrificed so much for your family and it wasn’t easy. We will never forget your heart and the love you had for everyone.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 5 – 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 12 PM from Holy Spirit Parish at St. Catherine of Siena with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery.
