DUBOIS – Now that the Consolidation of DuBois and Sandy Township has concluded, the unified DuBois Police Department is now looking ahead to what’s next.
Police Chief Kris Kruzelak says that the department plans to hire more officers through a civil service exam, however recruiting qualified applicants is challenging.
“Recruiting good officers is the biggest challenge in law enforcement,” explained Chief Kruzelak, . “And that’s not just here. It’s nationwide.”
The Chief added that officers will improve patrol coverage across the city’s 56 square miles while providing service to everyone.
