Reynoldsville Man Accused of Fleeing From Police After Fight

BROOKVILLE – A Reynoldsville man has been jailed after allegedly fleeing from police while intoxicated and physically assaulting a man in Brookville.

On July 27th police responded to reports of a fight in progress at the BP gas station on Allegheny Boulevard. 

Once on scene police learned that 30 year-old Tristen Shugar had allegedly assaulted a man before fleeing in a Jeep.

Police attempted to pull over the Jeep when a high speed pursuit began. Police were able to catch the vehicle after crashing into a large tombstone on Cemetery Road. 

Police took Shugar into custody where he allegedly showed signs of impairment.

Shugar is now at the Jefferson County Jail where he faces felony fleeing and eluding, aggravated assault, and simple assault charges.
