Gerald Boyd Evans Jr., 67, of Punxsutawney, passed away at home on July 14, 2026.
He was born on April 11, 1959, in San Antonio, a son of the late Gerald Evans Sr. and Noemi (Rivas) Evans.
Mr. Evans was a 1977 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.
Following high school, Gerald faithfully served his country in the United States Army.
After his military service, Gerald built a career in asbestos abatement, spending many years employed by various companies in the industry.
Mr. Evans had a special love for cars and motorcycles. He took great pride in his vehicles and enjoyed keeping them looking their best. A nice car was something he truly appreciated.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Sr. and Noemi Evans.
Survived by son, Cruz Parise of Punxsutawney; grandson, Eliott Parise; and brother, Robert (Tina) Evans of Punxsutawney.
Arrangements are private and entrusted to the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
