Janet R. Donlin
1929-2026

Janet R. Donlin, age 97, a long time Circle Drive Brockway, PA resident, currently a resident at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, PA; passed on to her eternal home in heaven on Wednesday July 8, 2026. Born on January 1, 1929 at her home in Brockport, PA; she was the daughter of the late C. Leonard and Ida Gardner Fraria. In February of 1946 she was married to John T. Donlin and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2001. Janet started out a career at Brockway Glass as a Packer and shortly thereafter moved up to the main office where she worked in Teletype/Data Entry, retiring on May 1, 1986. She was a lifelong member of the Brockport United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being a volunteer with the Jefferson Co. Area Agency on Aging and was very active volunteering at the Brockwayville Depot for many years. She was a lifelong antique collector and especially enjoyed refinishing antique furniture. For over 30 years Janet enjoyed spending winters traveling to warmer climates, but none more than to Sebring, Florida. As her grandchildren became more and more active in sporting events and school activities, that became her main interest, keeping up on all that was going on and what accomplishments they had achieved. She is survived by a son John Roger Donlin of Decatur, GA; a daughter Sheryl “Sheri” (Clifford) Calhoun of Brockway and a son Patrick (Mary Jo) Donlin also of Brockway. She is also survived by grandchildren Julie (Brent) Young, John Colin (Brenda) Donlin, Ty (Shannon) Calhoun, Courtney (Joshua) Snyder, Patrick (Bobbi Nulph) Donlin, Adam (Melissa) Donlin, Mark (Chad Kimmel) Donlin, Ben (Jessi) Donlin; great grandchildren Cole and Gavin Young, Jack and Seth Donlin, Matt and Elise Melhado, Jax Calhoun, Ava and Quinn Snyder, Nolan Donlin, Mason and Fynn Donlin, Delaney and Denna Donlin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is also preceded in death by an infant son John Thomas Donlin, sisters Doris Canavan and Jean Brady, and a daughter in law Marcia L. Donlin. Visitation will be on Friday, July 17 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ann Foor officiating. Burial and committal prayers will follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery.
