DUBOIS – As the City of DuBois marks a new chapter, the interim management team is reflecting on their 19 months of service.

Lisa Hagberg and Ben Kafferlin say the consolidation of the former City of DuBois and Sandy Township was largely a success, despite some challenges with utility bills and staffing turnover.

“I’m so pleased that I got to be part of this consolidation and the work that we’re doing here in this community,” explained Hagberg. “It’s so long lasting legacy work that it’s going to be really exciting to watch this community flourish.”

They also expressed confidence in the new City Manager Joe Flemming, ultimately feeling optimistic for the new City of DuBois’ long term success
