1966-2026
Lisa Camille Catalano, 59, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born in DuBois on November 2, 1966, the daughter of the late Helen Louise (Kellar) Catalano and August “Augie” Eugene Catalano, who survives and resides in Punxsutawney.
Lisa was a 1985 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and a faithful member of Cloe Methodist Church. Throughout her career, she became a familiar and friendly face to countless customers while working at local automotive businesses and serving the community as a notary.
At home, Lisa was a fantastic cook and also enjoyed canning. She found happiness in caring for her property, whether mowing the lawn or watching the birds, and enjoyed settling in with a good book. She had a deep affection for animals and treasured the companionship of her cat, Tigger, and her feisty Chihuahua, Chico, who rarely left her side and brought her endless joy.
In recent years, Lisa was no longer able to enjoy many of the activities she once loved. She remained deeply grateful for the love, kindness, and unwavering support shown to her throughout her illness by her many friends and family.
Although they never married, she and Denny Walker shared a deep and devoted bond built on love, companionship and unwavering commitment for thirty-two years. Throughout her illness, he stood faithfully by her side, tending to her every need with patience, compassion and selfless care.
In addition to her father, August Catalano and Denny Walker, she is survived by one brother, Doug (Suzanne) Catalano; one nephew, Carl M. (Paige Zinzella) Catalano; one great nephew, August “Gus” Paul Catalano; and Doug Walker, who was like a brother in-law to her.
Preceded in death by her mother.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Paul Davis.
Interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.
