UNDATED – State Police are cracking down on cell phone use while driving.

Just days after the June 6th warning period ended for Paul Miller’s Law, troopers issued 694 citations and 308 warnings during a three day “Operation Hands Off“ period.

The law now carries a $50 dollar fine, plus court costs and fees, for using a handheld device while driving, even when stopped.

These numbers only reflect what State Police have recorded and not your local police department’s enforcement.
