Daniel Wesley Molnar, age 62, of DuBois, PA, passed away on Sunday June 7, 2026, in DuBois, PA. Born on July 29, 1963 in Niagara Falls memorial hospital, New York. Daniel was the son of Robert N. Molnar, and Helen M. Molnar. He graduated from DuBois Central Catholic High School in 1981. He went on to join the U.S. Air Force in 1984. Upon completing basic training, he went to Shanute Air Force base & technical training center in Illinois, where he learned to be a jet engine mechanic. He was then stationed in March Air Force base in Moreno Valley, California. He then attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in L.A. California for specialized training. In 1988 he joined the air national guard in Pittsburgh PA, and was deployed to the UAE, to serve in the Gulf war, dessert storm. He then attended Pittsburgh Institute Of Aeronautics in Pittsburgh PA, where he was certified in ground power, and air frame. After 21 years of service, he retired in 2002. He went on to earn a certificate as a refrigerant recovery technician. He specialized in other work, such as appliance repair, electrical, plumbing, and much more.
Daniel worked as a lead jet engine mechanic for the DuBois Regional Air Port for many years, and after was self-employed until present. He was known for being very intelligent, caring, funny, and all-around loyal friend and father/grandfather.
He enjoyed camping, boating, riding his motorcycles, building custom things, animals, pets, outdoors, fires, and gathering with family and friends. People will remember him by kindness, loyalty, humor, generosity, work ethics, love of life, and dedication to his family and friends.
He is survived by his children Macie M. Molnar, Bradley N. Molnar, grandchildren Kayden W. Molnar, siblings Rick A. Molnar, and Rick’s wife Theresa M. Molnar, nephew Mark A. Molnar, father Robert N. Molnar, and other loving relatives.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Helen M. Molnar/Stahlnecker, and both maternal, paternal grandparents.
Public viewing will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 4pm until 6pm and on Monday from 8:30am until 9:30am at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 10am at Saint Catherine Of Siena DuBois, followed by the burial at Saint Michael’s cemetery in DuBois with full military honors accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
There will be a chicken lunch in at the grange on mountain run road in Sabula pa. following the burial.
