George C. “Cam” Tilson of Sykesville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Cam was born in DuBois on November 4, 1948, to the late Charles Tilson and Adelene Sones Tilson. He graduated from DuBois Area High School, Class of 1966, and later went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his discharge, he spent 35 years with the United States Postal Service. After his retirement, he and his wife spent many wonderful years camping and riding his motorcycle across the country.
Cam married Patricia Morpanini on June 30, 2000. Patricia survives him. In addition to his wife, Cam is survived by two sons, George (Laura) Tilson Jr. of DuBois, PA, and Sean Tilson of DuBois, PA; a daughter, Kelly Tilson of Bellefonte, PA; a stepson, Michael (Tracy) Crissman of Brookville, PA; five grandchildren, Paige Gregory, Ryan Tilson, Kara Tilson, Megan (Danny) Hetrick, and Michelle (Tom) Heiser; and five great-grandchildren, Reagan and Skylar Tilson, Hunter Gregory, and Poppy and Emerald Hetrick. He was preceded in death by his loving parents and his sister, Bonnie Crater.
A public viewing will take place Thursday, June 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium. A funeral service will take place immediately following, officiated by Reverend Therron Thomson, with military honors conducted by the DuBois Area Honor Guard. Interment will take place at Sykesville Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
