Charles I. Butler, age 85 of Rockton, PA died Monday, June 1, 2026 at Mountain Laurel Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on December 15, 1940 in Meadville, PA, he was the son of the late Clare and Gertrude (Stafford) Butler.
On June 4, 1977 he married his wife of 49 years, Patty (Woika) Butler at Bethany Covenant Church. She survives.
Charles retired from the Courier Express as a computer systems manager/printer after many years of service.
He was a member of Bethany Covenant Church where he was part of the choir. Charles also sang in the Community Christian Choir. He enjoyed being a carpenter and watching western movies.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his son Michael (Toni) Butler of DuBois, PA, step children; Richard Weis of DuBois, PA, Lisa (Kevin) Martinson of Morristown, TN, Jon Alan Weis of Rockton, PA, Patricia (Dan) Bontempo of Sykesville, PA, eleven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by two brothers; Brian Butler and Gerald Brennan, and one sister, Joyce Worst.
Following his request, there will be no public visitation for Charles, and a funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
