Ellen Marie Dannan, 60, of Dubois passed away in her home Friday, May 22nd, 2026.
Ellen was born on February 5th, 1966 to Frieda Kleinhample (Burk) and Clifford Kleinhample in North Hills, Pennsylvania.
Ellen is survived by her Mother, Frieda Kleinhample (Burk), her Father and Step mother Clifford and Merilynn Kleinhample, her sister Denise Anderson (Kleinhample), her 3 children Bryan Frisbee, Brant and Kylee Frisbee, Kayla Dannan, and her 5 Grandchildren, Sofia Frisbee, Jude Frisbee, Phebie Welsh, Asa Welsh, and Syrus Frisbee
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ellen Marie Burk, her grandfather George Burk, and her cousin Christopher Burk.
Ellen was the mother you would imagine reading about in a children's story book. Being a young, strong, and independent single mother for the majority of her time raising her children, she put in the hours to make sure it was a picture-perfect world. She was a fulltime worker as a Paralegal, as well as a fulltime mother with children in different schools. She found her calling when she moved on to her own life, when her children were grown, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There, she blossomed like the flowers she grew. With blooming gardens, vegetables to be picked and placed upon the table where her children used to laugh and carry on with her at their sides. She radiated like the sun, spreading love, joy and growth to all of those she tended.
She loved when her grandchildren would come to visit, to pick veggies and tend to the chickens by the dozens and decorate her kitchen with eggs to be colored. Later in life, when she moved to be closer to her children and her grandchildren. She would spend her days relaxing in retirement, sitting in the sun watching the kids run around and carry on; blowing bubbles and watering flowers, asking each one if they enjoyed butter while shoving a buttercup under their chins. She was the light in the eyes of those she loved. She will be missed with loved with all of our hearts.
