Vermont Man Jailed After Allegedly Causing a Dispute While on Drugs

PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP – A Vermont man has been jailed after he allegedly refused to leave a store while under the influence of drugs in Pine Creek Township.

On May 1st police responded to the Love’s Travel Shop for reports of a suspicious person.

Once on scene police learned that 34 year-old Jarrod Howell was asked to leave by the store manager however, he refused to leave claiming he was looking for his girlfriend. 

Police believed that he was under the influence of drugs and took him into custody. Howell allegedly later admitted to using methamphetamines.

He was sent to the Jefferson County Jail where he faces disorderly conduct, trespass, and public drunkenness charges.
