Amy E. (Carlson) Hunter, age 100 of Dubois, PA died Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Covington Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in East Palestine, OH.
Born on December 20, 1925 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Chloe (Averill) Carlson.
On March 16, 1941 she married Howard L. Hunter, Sr. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1995.
Amy was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of the DuBois Alliance Church where she had served as a Sunday School and Bible School teacher. She loved to sew and was known for her flower garden.
She is survived by her children; Kenneth Hunter and his wife Sheila of Muncy, PA, David Hunter and his wife Barbara of Turbotville, PA, Saundra Ellenberger and her husband Randall of Enon Valley, PA, and Dennis Hunter and his wife Janie of DuBois, PA, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and one sister Lucille Bailey.
Amy was preceded in death by one daughter (Robyn Wolfgang), one son (Howard L. Hunter, Jr.) and ten brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11 AM from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Daniel Muir officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
