DUBOIS – You could soon have easier and safer access to local waterways.
A proposal would seek grants for up to five thousand dollars to upgrade two kayak and canoe launch sites in DuBois.
Plans include improving ramps and adding stone paths so you can get in and out of the water more easily.
This is not just about recreation, it could also give emergency crews better access for water rescues.
Before officially moving forward, lawmakers say they need to confirm who owns the land and secure any required permissions.
