Samuel E. “Sammy” Duttry, Jr., age 60 of Punxsutawney, PA, died Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
Born on October 9, 1965 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of Samuel E. Duttry, Sr. and the late Carol D. (Marsh) Duttry.
Sammy was Protestant by faith, and a member of the Free Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching movies, feeding wildlife, and fishing.
He had work at CJ Packaging in DuBois, PA for a number of years.
Along with his father, Sammy is survived by his siblings (Michael S. Duttry, and Mark S. Duttry and his wife Tanya, both of Sabula, PA, and Sheri L. Bush and her husband Brian of DuBois, PA), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents (Rex and Sara Dodson), and paternal grandparents (Andrew and Daisy Viola Duttry).
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 4 – 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Brian Spencer officiating.
Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery.
