RIDGWAY – A Ridgway man has been charged after allegedly having a sexual encounter with a minor in December.
On December 13th 2025, police were notified that a 16 year-old victim was contacted by 31 year-old Kyle Jacobs who claimed he was 21 and would buy alcohol for her.
The next day, the victim was allegedly taken to a campground by Jacobs where the sexual encounter took place.
Later, while having a sexual assault examination, the victim gave investigators access to her phone. Police then learned that Jacobs had allegedly sent multiple sexually explicit messages and pictures.
Jacobs has now been charged with corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, and selling or furnishing liquor to minors.
