DUBOIS – Over 100 kids came out to the DuBois City Park Saturday for the annual Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt.
With 2,000 candy and prize filled eggs laid out, families packed the park as kids raced to fill their baskets. Organizers say events like this are just one of the ways they help keep the community connected.
“Through activities like this, especially when we have this big of a turnout with these kids, we know that eventually they’ll remember the Jaycees and maybe join someday and just be part of our community,” explained Jaycees Vice President Paige Carson.
Beyond the Easter Egg Hunt, the DuBois Jaycees also organize scholarships, spring cleanups, and help provide Thanksgiving groceries for those in need.
