Changes Coming to DuBois Water/Sewer Bills

DUBOIS – Changes are planned for your water and sewer bills in DuBois.

A vote at the April 15th City Council meeting would charge you based on the water you actually use instead of a minimum bill.

Water rates will stay the same at $16 dollars per thousand gallons while sewer rates would drop to $15 dollars per thousand. Debt service items will still remain.

“This new model will go off of actual meter usage. And so if you use 600 gallons or 1 gallon or 0 or 882,” explained DuBois Manager Ben Kafferlin. “You would get actually billed for the gallon that you use.”

Some older meters may still cause issues, but the changes are meant to bring you relief.
