UNDATED – The Pennsylvania House of Representatives are rolling out a new proposal that, if approved, could cut some of the taxes you pay.
The “Freedom Through Affordability” initiative is designed to give you tax relief and lower costs on everyday essentials, including gas, electricity, and cell phone service.
The plan would also include temporary sales tax holidays on items like sports equipment, gardening and cleaning supplies, and some baby products.
State Representative Mike Armanini also proposed a tax holiday for football equipment with the NFL draft coming to Pennsylvania.
Supporters say the goal is to make Pennsylvania more affordable for families feeling the pressure of higher prices.
