Maintaining DuBois

DUBOIS – If you drive through DuBois, expect a couple work zones to start popping up as city crews shift into spring repairs.

Public Works Director Scott Farrell says that after seeing 55 inches of snow this year, the city is moving from snow response to spring maintenance.

There’s an awful amount of grass that needs to be maintained,” explained Farrell. “Just basically keeping what we have where we need it to be is the big issue. We got these beautiful ball fields, it takes a lot of effort to keep them cleaned and maintained.”

He went on to say that you should expect to see street sweeping, pothole patching, and repairs near the former waterfall on Liberty Boulevard this spring.
