DUBOIS – A new live music venue is in the works in Downtown DuBois.
David Chirico has been spending countless hours gutting, clearing out, and renovating the former Pennsylvania Academy of Cosmetology building at 19 North Brady Street into a venue for a live music experience.
Named the DuBois Center for the Performing Arts, this space will bring live music from bluegrass and country to rock and electronic, giving you a place to reconnect in person.
“We’re sitting on the phones, we’re watching the screens, we have the AI brain rot, and we need to interact with each other again,” explained Chirico.
While this project is still in its early stages, Chirico is excited to bring more activity and community events to DuBois.
