DUBOIS – The DuBois School District is putting new energy behind their READY initiative aimed at connecting students with real world career opportunities.
Bradley Lashinsky, who has been leading the Regional Economic Acceleration through the Development of our Youth program since January, is working to address a shrinking regional workforce by keeping local talent here.
Lashinsky says his goals for the program are simple, to make sure every student graduates with a clear plan for the future.
“I believe between READY and the foundation working hand-in-hand that we will have stronger students, a stronger workforce, and a stronger community,” explained Lashinsky.
So far the READY program has been hard at work introducing career pathway presentations, employer partnerships, and plans for student job fairs, all aimed at preparing students for success locally.
