BROCKWAY – Two Brockway hometown heroes have been honored for a lifetime of service.
Barbra Baxter, a lifelong Brockway resident, was named Woman of the Year. She spent decades volunteering with churches, Meals-on-Wheels, the Salvation Army, and Highland View Health Care.
Stephen Zarlinski was named Man of the Year. leading the Brockway Area School District for 26 years, he expanded programs, strengthened finances and remains active in the school even after retirement.
The group Discover Brockway received the Community Award for their selfless work to make Brockway a better place.
