UNDATED – After the recent winter storm, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday is warning you about an increase of scammers who target people needing quick repairs or heat.
Officials say you should always verify contractors, never rush into signing a contract, and avoid details that sound too good to be true.
You should also be cautious of callers claiming to be from your utility company and to never share personal or banking information.
Finally do not make any payments with a gift card, or payment app.
