UNDATED – PennDOT is investing nearly 53 million dollars in rail freight improvements, with significant upgrades from Clearfield, Elk, and Jefferson Counties.
The Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad is set to receive four million dollars to improve more than 200 miles of track in our area.
Clearfield County will also receive one million dollars to rehabilitate eight miles of track.
Officials say that this project will bring hundreds of jobs to Pennsylvania while maintaining railroads.
