DUBOIS – A new inclusive band program is coming to DuBois Schools after a generous $30,000 dollar donation from Huckestein Mechanical.
$20,000 dollars will be used to launch an inclusive band program with standard and adaptive instruments, designed for inclusivity.
“These instruments will allow more students to fully engage in music-making, build confidence, and experience success within the band program,“ explained Superintendent Wendy Benton.
The new group will proudly perform at the Special Olympics this May.
The other $10,000 dollars will be used to provide snacks for middle school students in need.
