CLEARFIELD – An Olanta man has been jailed after allegedly stealing from a Clearfield Truck Stop and fighting officers.
Early Thursday morning, police responded to the Sapp Bros Truck Stop after receiving reports that a man, believed to be under the influence, broke a flashlight and was refusing to pay for items.
Once on scene police made contact with the man, 35 year-old Christopher Mayhew, he allegedly became agitated and tried to fight officers while threatening to kill them.
He was subdued and taken into custody and transported to the Clearfield County Jail where he faces Aggravated Assault, Assault on Law Enforcement Officers, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, and Retail Theft charges.
