DUBOIS – Today is Police Appreciation Day, a day for you to acknowledge and say thank you to the men and women who serve and protect the community.
We heard from DuBois Officers Gornati and Thompson, who say that these gestures of appreciation help balance the difficult moments of the job and remind them that their work is valued beyond emergency calls and enforcement duties.
“Days like today kind of put a little pep in your step, I guess, with a little bit extra community support, but we greatly appreciate it from everybody,” explained Officer Gornati.
They also say that community trust and support remain essential and reinforce a shared responsibility between local police and you at home.
