PITTSBURGH – The owners of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette newspaper announced Wednesday that they will be closing down in May.

Block Communications Inc. stated that due to financial losses, losing over $350 million dollars over the past 20 years, and labor constraints they will print their last paper on Sunday May 3rd.

With origins dating back to 1786, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has been in circulation for nearly a century.
