UNDATED – The need for blood in our area is a constant, but during these winter months the number of people who donate blood goes down. According to the American Red Cross, an accident victim can sometimes need as many as 100 units of blood. So, the shortage of donated blood is a big problem.
But you can help.
The American Red Cross announces upcoming blood drives in the Tri-County area. On Friday, January 9th, a blood drive will be hosted by DuBois Central Catholic School from Noon until 5pm. You will also have an opportunity to donate at a blood drive in Reynoldsville on Wednesday, January 14th. The American Legion on Broadway Street in Reynoldsville will be the site of that drive from 1 to 6pm.
