DUBOIS – Tuesday. the joint DuBois/Sandy Board met for the final time ahead of consolidation, wrapping up unfinished business to clear the way for the new, unified city.
The municipalities made their final administrative steps as separate entities, paying their remaining bills, transferring their municipal assets, and legal liabilities. Board members also authorized the destruction of records that are no longer needed.
With these measures completed, both DuBois and Sandy Township are ready to officially consolidate Monday into the new City of DuBois municipality.
