
UNDATED – Local governments and authorities in the 75th district will receive over $1.6 million dollars to help fund public safety, infrastructure, and municipal equipment projects.
In Clearfield County, funding will support road repairs and utility vehicles to replace aging machinery, including a new police patrol vehicle for Curwensville, and infrastructure upgrades in Brady and Union Townships.
Elk County projects include a new fire department pumper truck and Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study for Ridgway, water treatment plant upgrades in Highland Township, and improvements to the Horton Township Building.
These grants are funded through gaming revenue meant to support community and economic development projects.
A full look at allocated funds is below:
- Brady Township received $38,656 for upgrades to the Ace Valley pump station.
- Brady Township also received $77,500 for a new four-wheel rotary sweeper.
- Curwensville Borough received $79,700 for a new police patrol vehicle.
- The Curwensville Lake Authority received $140,000 for parking lot repair.
- Grampian Borough received $33,300 for a new backhoe.
- The Huston Township Municipal Authority received $99,192 for a new utility truck.
- The Huston Township Municipal Authority also received $60,211 for a new excavator.
- Mahaffey Borough received $120,529 for a new utility truck.
- Penn Township received $29,178 for a gravel and dirt road maintainer.
- Pike Township received $60,000 for a new truck with a snowplow.
- Union Township received $124,780 for the repair and repaving of Anderson Creek Road.
- Union Township also received $122,013 for a new dump truck.
- The Highland Township Municipal Authority received $61,600 for upgrades to the water treatment plant.
- Horton Township received $65,541 for improvements to the township building.
- Ridgway Borough received $236,005 for a new fire department pumper truck.
- The Ridgway Township Municipal Authority received $85,814 for a Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study.
