HOUTZDALE – A man incarcerated at the State Correctional Institute in Houtzdale was found dead in his jail cell Monday afternoon.
According to police the inmate, 36 year-old Merritt Dudas, was serving a 21 to 42 year sentence for a third degree murder charge in 2013.
Police have not disclosed the cause of death as they continue to investigate.
