CLEARFIELD COUNTY – More information is available about an attempted murder charge in Clearfield County.
Sunday afternoon, police responded to Penn Highlands Clearfield for a man who had a cut along their neck.
Police learned the victim had allegedly gotten into an altercation with Daniel Weaver at a home on the 1200 block of Woodland Road in Lawrence Township. The fight escalated when Weaver allegedly pulled out a knife.
Weaver then left the residence and was found the following morning by police and transported to the Clearfield County Jail where he faces attempted murder charges. Police have also noted Weaver had a history of violent crimes and substance abuse.
The victim was flown to Pittsburgh for medical treatment, their condition is currently unknown.
