UNDATED – With dry warm weather causing an increased possibility of wildfires, and little rain on the horizon, a burn ban has been issued in both Clearfield and Jefferson Counties.
These bans will prohibit you from burning any materials in an open area. You can still use your outdoor grills and campfires confined in a fire ring at State, Federal, or DEP licensed campgrounds.
With keeping in mind “the best interest of public safety and the safety of our emergency responders” these bans are in effect for 30 days with possible extensions if weather does not improve.
Clearfield County’s ban went into effect on Tuesday at 11am, Jefferson County’s will be Thursday at noon.
