Walking to End Alzheimer’s

DUBOIS – Amidst the rainy weather, dozens turned out to the DuBois City Park Saturday morning to show their support in the battle against Alzheimer’s.

According to the CDC, Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of Dementia that over time erodes your memory, problem-solving skills, and thinking abilities.

Walk Manager, Gabby Rosendale, told us that this walk is meant to take a stand against the debilitating disease in hope that one day no one will have to worry about Alzheimer’s.

“Awareness is our number one mission,“ explained Rosendale. “Obviously we want to find a cure, but until that day, we want to make sure that the community knows that we are there for them.”

With only around $25,000 dollars raised of their $45,000 dollar goal, you can still help out. You can find more information on their website.
