
BROOKVILLE – A Brookville man is behind bars after allegedly firing multiple shotgun rounds on his back porch.
According to police, on August 5th officers responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Brush and Clark Streets. Once learning from a resident that the shots came from East Main Street.
Officers then encountered 34 year-old Sebastian McCredie and an unnamed woman who allegedly told officers the shots came from a different direction. Officers then discovered shells below the deck of the residence.
McCredie, who was allegedly showing signs of intoxication, was taken into custody where he had shotgun shells and a knife in his possession. The woman allegedly told officers he did shoot the gun on the back porch of the residence.
He was then transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he faces charges of making a false report, recklessly endangering another person, and terroristic threats causing public inconvenience.
