Getting Food for DuBois Music in the Park

DUBOIS – Nonprofits can now start applying to set up shop for DuBois Music in the Park concert series.

According to City Manager Ben Kafferlin, those associated with the event contacted him about looking at the city’s previous ban for food trucks at the event, hoping to draw in more people for the weekly concert.

Ultimately the city decided to allow nonprofits to set up shop for the event, which typically sees hundreds of people.

“To get through 2025, we’re just going to allow nonprofits to essentially apply,“ explained Kafferlin. “It’ll essentially be a first come first serve kind of situation.”

If this interests you, you can sign up your nonprofit by contacting the Code Enforcement office with the proper insurance and licenses

Next year, the event will operate under Sandy Township’s current ordinance.
