DUBOIS The Consolidation of the City of DuBois and Sandy Township is less than a year away, as we approach that deadline we are having our Consolidation Countdown, giving you all of the information you need to know.
This month we spoke with DuBois Fire Chief John Kelsey and Sandy Township Fire Chief Jason Runyon on how the Fire Departments are handling consolidation.
As both chiefs say they are working well together and have been slowly sharing services for the past two years.
“Just about on every call in the city or the township you’ll see apparatus and members from both departments,” explained Chief Kelsey.
In the end, the chiefs assure us that they will not yield in their dedication to fire services in our area.
