HORTON TOWNSHIP – State Police are investigating a scam that swindled $25,000 dollars from an elderly Brockport man.
According to State Police, the victim was contacted by phone about a family member in need of bail money. He was then instructed to lie to the bank and withdraw the money.
State Police would like to remind you to stay vigilant about these scam attempts and to consult family and authorities before making questionable payments.
