Collecting Toiletries for Local Veterans

DUBOIS – An annual toiletry drive to build care packages for area veterans will be taking place next month.

Throughout the month of May you are urged to donate soap, hygiene products, deodorant, lotion, hand sanitizer, tissues, and now bottled water is also included.

Collection sites are located at the Free Medical Clinic, Sunny106, and Family Dollars in DuBois and Big Run in what Executive Director of the Free Medical Clinic Dolly McCluskey says is a needed service for our local veterans.

“We can’t do enough for these local veterans,“ explained McCluskey. “They have nothing literally, and we are supportive of them.”

Everything donated will be placed into individual care packages and distributed to local veterans at “Thank a Vet” visits at the Clinic’s James E. Van Zant Veterans Outpatient Office in DuBois
