DUBOIS – DuBois elementary students rocked their socks Friday morning, showing awareness and inclusion for World Down Syndrome Day.

Held on the 21st day, as the Multiple Disabilities Support Teacher at Juniata Elementary School Nicole Marshall says, the day represents the 21st chromosome that leads to Down Syndrome.

“We are rocking our socks for World Down Syndrome Awareness Day,“ explained Marshall. “To promote awareness and inclusion for individuals with Down Syndrome.”

Students wore mismatched, brightly colored socks and supporting t-shirts and participated in the Sock Hop listening to music and dancing to show their support.
