PUNXSUTAWNEY – A Punxsutawney man is behind bars after he allegedly admitted to setting his family home on fire in January.
On January 13th fire crews were alerted to a structure fire on Smith Road. After extinguishing the blaze, Fire Marshals determined the home was intentionally set on fire.
According to State Police, 57 year-old Troy Kromer had allegedly made comments to family members about burning the home. When he was questioned about the blaze he allegedly stated it was because of dragons and what God wanted him to do.
He is now facing multiple charges including felony arson, reckless burning, and risking catastrophe.
