
DUBOIS – The DuBois Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Bash brought community leaders together to celebrate the impacts of local organizations, and honor the memory of one man whose lifelong service left an impact.
DuBois Dermatology and Cosmetics won the Small Business of the Year Award, Lifespan Family Services received the Community Cup Award, and the DuBois Area Food Pantry received the Greater Good Award.
John Farr, who passed away last February, was recognized by the DuBois Jaycees with the Distinguished Service Award for his unwavering dedication to others.
His wife, Cathy Farr, Spoke to us about her late husband’s contributions to our community.”
“John would be so humbled, and so happy,“ explained Farr. “And I think that everybody in the room showed that they felt it was a well deserved honor. He was such an exceptional, extraordinary person. He did so much good for our community it just warms my heart.”
John wore many hats throughout his life, from teaching at Penn State, helping others through Habitat for Humanity, and his passion for bicycling.
